Reverence Guild Charter

  1. To maintain a guild for socialising, raiding, grouping and questing. The maximum size of our guild will be decided on by the leadership
  2. We are predominantly based in Australia & New Zealand on Australian Eastern Standard Time (GMT +10) (AEDST during Daylight Savings, GMT +11)
  3. We would like a guild of people who try to log on for a couple of hours, at least 3-4 times a week. Most members will be working full time jobs and logging in after work for raiding and events.
  4. If the Guild has not been informed of you taking a break from game, we will do our best to contact you after a two week period. If we get no response, your character will be removed from guild after 3 or 4 weeks of no game play. That includes alts AND main characters. You are welcome to contact an Officer post removal and explain your case if there was a justified reason for your absense.
  5. We would like people to show up for ‘important’ events, if humanly possible. (We understand that REAL LIFE is always a priority). It does, however, make organising events very hard if people don't tell us that they won't be available ahead of time. "Respect applies here"
  6. It is the view of the leadership that the guild forums comprise a large part of guild life. Therefore every member is expected to regularly visit and take part in discussions on the forums. Consistent failure to do so will result in a warning.
  7. Whilst you are a member of the guild, you may not be a member of any other guild on the server. The guild is very selective about recruitment. We would like to achieve our aim of a small roster, of close-knit people, capable of defeating raid events in Rift. If the requirements for raiding change as the game progresses, our recruitment priorities will change to reflect this.
  8. Realising that loot can be a controversial subject, we have implemented a point system (DKP) that is used in conjunction with a loot council to determine the best allocation of loot for guild and raid progression.

Guild Policy

  1. Read Raiding Rules and Guidelines.
  2. Read all Raid Mob encounter strategies prior to the raid.
  3. Know your place, Raid Leader, Group Leader, Main Tank, secondary tank, Main healer, or chain healer as required. Again "Respect", we are here as a fellowship to achieve our collective goals. Promptly attend raids to your best ability! During raids, Obey all orders from raid leaders. The better we work as a team, the more fun we will have achieving our goals. Ventrillo is a must while raiding with Reverence. No Ventrillo = NO DKP
  4. Be patient. Even raid and guild leaders get it wrong now and then.
  5. Be prepared for a bit of humour on your behalf! There are no restrictions on swearing, within reason. We are all family and try to keep rules to a minimum. However, realize that if your actions/words hurt others, this will be addressed. We expect our membership to not bring the guild name into disrepute in any way. Reverence stands for ‘feelings of deep respect or devotion’. All members are to keep this in mind at all times. We are loyal to our guild.
  6. If you have an issue with another guild member please mail that person and try to resolve the issue in a mature fashion. If you feel that the issue has not been resolved please consult the guild officers. They will try to rectify the problem as easily and quickly as possible.

Disciplinary Guidelines

  1. First offense: Officer warns member and posts warning in officer's forum.
  2. Second offense: If within 30 days of officer warning, a member commits a second infraction, they are demoted to recruit status and are treated in all aspects as such. Those already in recruit status instead incur third offense penalties.
  3. Third offense: If within the same 30 day time frame, a member commits their third infraction, their membership is terminated immediately. They can, at the officers' option, reapply for membership in 30 days.
  4. Members can be removed on the spot if their conduct is unsatisfactory.

Recruiting

  1. Applicant fills out application on site. Members must be 18yrs or older.
  2. Officer feedback is solicited for applicant on forums. If applicant gains approval and a member sponsor, they are then guilded.
  3. We don't have a trial or "recruit status" period.  If your application is good, you get an invite.  If you turn out to be a bad fit for the rest of the guild or unsuitable, you will be asked to leave.

Above all we are a fun guild who like to experience all there is that a game has to offer. We are in no rush to ‘get there first’, but we would like to do everything to the best of our ability.

Guild Council

Currently, all officers of Reverence.  This may be expanded to class leads and other respected players in the future.

Changes to Charter. By a majority of the controlling factor "TBA"

Criminal behavior of any sort, by society or MMORPG standards will not be tolerated. By your membership you will be expected to uphold a high moral standard at all times in game. Scamming, Grieving, Ksing is not an attribute we desire in this guild. Remember "Respect"
